SPEAKER: Cathy Cotton, Income Statistics Division, Statistics Canada

TOPIC: The Survey of Labour and Income Dynamics: What Is It? Can It Answer My Research Questions?

DATE: Friday, February 1st, 2002

TIME: 10:30-12:00 am

PLACE: MC (Math-Computer Building) 5158

In addition, at 12:30, also in MC 5158, Cathy Cotton will lead a Brown Bag Lunch seminar, entitled "Low Income Measurement in Canada," sponsored jointly with the Women in Mathematics Committee.

The SLID is one of the longitudinal surveys housed in the SWORDC. This will be a valuable opportunity to learn more about this rich yet complex data set - its design, response rates, variables, and particular strengths.

ALL WELCOME

Note to SWORDC colleagues from Laurier, Guelph, Brock, Windsor and Western. The talk will be held in the MC building, at the north end of the UW campus, not in the PAS building where the SWORDC is located. For directions see website http://www.uwaterloo.ca/map/map/html.
